[intro: vic vega/lennox's monologue]
Yeah. i'm just looking back right now reading my story
Story of my life. as i look back into the past there's so many things that i needed to say. it feels like yesterday
[verse 1: vic vega]
My flows relentless, i love writing songs, i stay consistent
I'm a storyteller, i write a story with perfection
So i'm just sitting here looking back into the essence
Ever since that you were gone, i can still feel your presence
I remember how i was working at 9 to 5
Why all these co workers be hating us they were the devil in disguise
Nobody understand the struggle
Cause when we raise our voices back at them all they see is the trouble
It's time to settle the score
Her name was marina she was a real one for sure
The friendship during the job, it hits home
We used to help each other out, we wasn't going at each other's throats
I felt depressing how she had to leave
These managers they weren't true to their word, they tried to steal our dreams
Looking down at us like we ain't nothing
They hate us all the time because they act like we just owed them something
[monologue]
I'm just reading my diary. whenever i'm reading my diary most times i just feel depressed and i feel sad inside. all the things i used to have are just gone but it feels like yesterday and it seems i can't let it go
[verse 2: vic vega]
I don't really know how to say goodbye
Since the day that you was gone i felt sad deep inside
I always thought that i would win employee of the month
The general manager was rude me and so i had enough
Couldn't withstand and putting pressure on my shoulders
When anmole betrayed me my heart got colder
Everybody was gone it weren't the same
When they stopped presented that award, my mind had gone insane
When i was struggling you were always by my side
I realized that working at this job was a waste of time
So i decided to write a new song
Dedicated to marina, i knew that we would get along
You were like the only friend i had, i'm not lying
Looking back, i grab a pen and started writing
Maybe one day it will all make sense
Cause real friends they have you back and stay loyal to the very end
